» Erland Lee Museum

Previously used as a residence by the Lee's, this beautiful structure today operates as a museum. The Erland Lee home is famous for being the birthplace of the first Women's Institutes. Opened as a museum in 1972, the historic home displays the life and days of the 19th century. Artifacts related to the area's history are also preserved here. The Victorian furniture and interiors of this beautiful property remain to be the attraction for visitors. A lot of events and programs are conducted at the museum to keep visitors engaged.

» Arctic Experience McNaught Gallery

Established in 1983, by the Cohen couple, The Arctic Experience Gallery focused on marvelous sculptures by the Canadian Inuit artists. In 1993, the gallery moved to the nerve center of Hamilton, in a beautiful building reflecting Victorian architecture. Following this the gallery merged with McNaught Gallery and expanded its collection to include prints and paintings that augmented the creations on display. Arctic Experience McNaught Gallery does not feature a regular operation schedule, calling ahead before your visit is advisable.

» Whitehern

Used as a residence by famous athlete Thomas McQuesten, the Whitehern is now operated as a historic house museum. Built around 1850, the house displays elements that belong to the Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian era. It is now open to public and guided tours of the house are conducted regularly. » Griffin House (Ancaster)

Built in 1827, the Griffin House was marked as the National Historic Site of Canada owing to its architectural and historic value. Home to Enerals Griffin and his descending generations, the house is now operated as a museum. Over 3000 artifacts belonging to the early 19th century were recovered at the site. The artifacts include stoneware, clay pipes and porcelain items. They are now put on display for the public and this site is regarded of high importance to the Canadian Black History.
